A selection of 300 type Bakelite Phones from 1940's
Item 2/5 Exceptional 300 type Green Bakelite; the rarest of the Bakelite 300 type Auto dial telephones. The 300 type telephone was developed in the UK and based on a design from LM Ericsson in 1932. Green, Red, Ivory and Black were available in Australia. The Green was available only in very small numbers. A few versions with Directory drawer were also available. Very good original fabric cords and an early no10 (slipping cam) dial
This one has the directory drawer and fabric cords. and original Green Bakelite terminal block - lid is a painted green though
Item 2/4 From the same era, a good 300 type White Bakelite; a rare Bakelite 300 type Auto dial telephone, but with a very slight fault - a fine hairline crack is difficult to detect and does not detract at all from the look of the phone (arrowed) The 300 type telephone was developed in the UK and based on a design from LM Ericsson in 1932. Green, Red, Ivory and Black were available in Australia.
